About Henrike Gootjes
Henrike Gootjes is the author of 'Regeneratie' a book which lays out the foundations of Regeration and proposes a theory of change with 10 strategies out of exhaustion, violence and depletion into regeneration. She has worked for over 20 years internationaly as an artist, educator and artistic researcher. With special interest in the influence of geopolitics and economies on societies and peoples daily live. She designed participatory art projects in the Netherlands, Australia, America, Malta, Jordan, Northern Ireland. She describes the moment we live in a so-called 'clusterf@ck' and proposes to become the 'generation of regeneration' and wrote a practical book about this with strategies to turn the tide.
Gootjes uses learning and creative interaction to celebrate what connects rather that devides. She believes in the power and potential of art, interactions and curiousity in peoples lives are essential for rethinking and finding new ways to find solutions to our collective urgent issues.
